Area Agency on Aging Seeks Members for Advisory Council

The Area Agency on Aging is seeking Monterey County residents to sit on its Advisory Council.

The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is the unit of County government responsible for planning, assessment of needs and provision of services for older individuals in Monterey County. The Advisory Council serves as advocate for older individuals and performs evaluation of policies, programs and services.

Retirees, persons with disabilities, minorities and residents of rural areas of the county are particularly encouraged to apply. Council members serve a three year term and meet every other month on the third Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Meetings are held throughout the County. Names of Council applicants will be submitted to the Board of Supervisors for approval before appointment.
