| BORONDA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE | |

Legislative Reference: Established by Resolution No. 89-42 dated January 24, 1989, adopted by Ordinance 3358 of the Boronda Redevelopment Plan; amended by Resolution No. 02-145 on April 9, 2002.
Membership: Consists of 14 members appointed by the Board of Directors of the Redevelopment Agency: Membership reflects community populace and includes: Residential owner of occupants; Residential tenants; Business owners and / or tenants; Property owners; Members of existing civic organizations within the Boronda Redevelopment Project Area boundary lines.
The following representatives may serve as ex-officio non-voting members of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC): One representative appointed by the City of Salinas; and One representative appointed by the Salinas City Unified School District.
Terms: Each appointee serves four-year terms, which are staggered. The ex-officio members serve at the pleasure of their appointing bodies and the pleasure of the Board of Directors of the Monterey County Redevelopment Agency.
Qualifications and Functions: Advisory body to the Board of Directors of the Monterey County Redevelopment Agency in policy matters related to the implementation of planning and provision of projects, the assurance that citizen representation is met, and apprising local citizens of the Committee's recommendations to the Board of Directors.
