Membership: The Commission shall consist of fifteen (15) members who are residents of the County of Monterey appointed by the Board of Supervisors, pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and where possible representative of the following classifications in accordance with the Economic Development Administration (EDA) regulations. Each Supervisor shall nominate three (3) persons that reside and/or are employed within the Supervisor’s District.

Qualifications: The Board shall attempt to ensure that the following classifications are represented on the Commission: Agriculture; Business; Education; Labor; Minorities; Public Health; Real Estate/Finance; Social Services; Technology; Tourism; Utilities; Workforce Development Training

Terms:

Members shall be appointed for a term of three (3) years to serve commencing on July 1^st and ending June 30^th.

Meetings: The Commission shall hold at least six (6) meetings each year on the third Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m., unless otherwise approved by a majority of the Commission and properly noticed in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act
