Master Plan 2003
This Master Plan for 2003 is the result of the Monterey County Child Care Planning Council’s efforts to research and analyze data on local child care. Resources used include a wide range of materials and access systems—personal interviews, printed and published documents, internet online resources, and various research studies. The array of source materials covers county, state and federal perspectives as well as privately and publicly funded programs and research.
This Master Plan helps to serve as a work plan for the Child Care Planning Council and others for the next five years. Many objectives, outcomes for success, and community partners are identified throughout the report. Additionally, it is hoped that this information will provide a “snap shot” of the current child care issues in Monterey County to all those interested in issues impacting children. Furthermore, the report is offered to child care advocates as a resource to assist them in the application process for grant funding.
