“Victim to Survivor: Resilience & Resolve”

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

  • Explain one woman’s progress from victim to survivor.
  • Identify current government legislature and programs that address issues of family violence.
  • List six ways to strengthen resilience.
  • Describe ways in which young men can develop strength of character in lieu of violence as an emblem of masculinity.
  • Address current medical-legal concerns in treating domestic violence victims.

SPEAKERS

This year’s conference will feature:

  • Maureen Walker, PhD, is a licensed psychologist with an independent practice in psychotherapy and multicultural consultation in Cambridge, MA.

  • Ellen H. Taliaferro, MD, FACEP, is a licensed psychologist with an independent practice in psychotherapy and multicultural consultation in Cambridge, MA.

  • Todd Crawford, is a certified sexual assault counselor, trained rape advocate, and a prevention educator for the Monterey Rape Crisis Center. Specializing in Rape Prevention Education and the My Strength Campaign, Todd has presented to High Schools, Youth Authority Groups, and at Juvenile Hall.
