SUPERVISOR LUIS ALEJO OPENS NOMINATIONS FOR MONTEREY COUNTY
PEACE AWARDS

NOMINATIONS DEADLINE: Thursday, August 23rd, 2018

 

Monterey County Supervisor Luis A. Alejo invites you to submit a nomination for individuals that stand for and promote peace in Monterey County.  In honor of National Night Out next Tuesday, we are opening nominations for the awards which will be presented at the

Nominees should be a resident or community organization/business of Salinas who have, over the past year, significantly contributed to the promotion of peace in the community and who have not previously been recognized for their efforts by his office.  Three recipients from the Monterey County Peace Award will be honored at the Monterey County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, August 28th.

Please feel free to include a biography as well as letters of recommendation and/or newspaper articles that support your nominee.

The criteria for the nominees are as follows:

  • Must live or be located in Salinas.
  • Shown a strong track record of volunteerism or, if a paid employee, gone above and beyond their regular duties.
