All pest control businesses, advisers, aircraft pilots, and farm labor contractors must register annually with our office prior to advertising, soliciting or performing work in Monterey County. ALL REGISTRATIONS EXPIRE ANNUALLY ON DECEMBER 31.
Registration fees and requirements are as follows:
Agricultural Pest Control Business: $50
Registration in-person or via mail by Qualified Applicator Licensee responsible for supervising pest control activities of the business. Along with the correct fee, the following items are required:
Copy of QAL of person providing supervision for the office/branch
Structural Pest Control Business, Branch 2 & 3: $10
Registration in-person or by mail by responsible party working for the location. The responsible party can be the Operator, the Qualifying Manager or the Branch Supervisor for the location(s) he/she is registering. Companies that are both Branch 2 and Branch 3 can register the business as one entity, and the one fee covers both branches.
Registration in-person by responsible party working for the location. The responsible party can be the Operator, the Qualifying Manager or the Branch Supervisor for the location(s) he/she is registering. One fee covers the business and all persons (operators, field representatives and qualifying managers) identified on the registration form.
If during the year ( after the initial registration) the company adds operators, field representatives, or qualifying managers to a registration, an amendment fee is required.
Pest Control Adviser, home county: $10, additional counties: $5
Home County: Advisers are required to first register in person with their home county (county where the address on the license is located). If the address on the license in not within California then the home county registration is the county of the licensee’s choice. Must bring current PCA license.
Additional County: Registration can be in person or by mail. Must include a copy of PCA registration form that has been imprinted with PCA’s license by home county.
Upon first registration a Signature Authorization Document (pdf) is required in order for written recommendations that do not contain adviser’s handwritten signature to be valid in Monterey County.
Pest Control Pilot home county: $10
Registration can be in person or by mail. Must bring current Apprentice or Journeyman Pilot Certificate. Apprentice Pilot must indicate name of Journeyman Pilot who is currently registered in Monterey County who will be supervising the Apprentice. Pilot Registration Card
Pest Control Pilot additional counties: $5
Registration can be in person or by mail. Must include a Aircraft Pilot registration form that has been imprinted with Pilot’s Certificate by another California county.
Farm Labor Contractor: $25
Registration is required. Must provide copy of current FLC license and both completed forms below.
