Monterey County Workforce Development Board
The Monterey County Workforce Development Board (WDB) is part of the Intergovernmental Legislative Affairs Division and serves as a vehicle to mobilize and integrate private and public partners to effectively educate, train and place individuals with the necessary resources and skills to fulfill employer needs. We offer a dynamic and comprehensive workforce investment system through our America's Job Center of California (formerly One-Stop Career Centers) located in Monterey County in Salinas, Greenfield and Marina.
The America's Job Center of California embrace all segments of our cities and communities, is proactive, customer service oriented, user friendly and produces positive results for employers and job seekers.
The CalJOBS virtual online system enables local employers and job seekers to connect online by visiting our user-friendly website at www.caljobs.ca.gov and clicking on the various links for information about our America's Job Center of California system and the services offered to employers, job seekers, veterans, youth, and seniors.
Our progressive America's Job Center of California connects job seekers to valuable services that include the use of our resource room and computers, access to job search skills workshops, information on training and education, referrals to partner agencies and community resources and labor market information on growth industries in Monterey County.
The ultimate goal of our America's Job Center of California delivery system is to provide a seamless integration of employment and training services to businesses, incumbent workers, job seekers, and youth through a combination of comprehensive and satellite America's Job Center of California and community partner programs.
