The overarching goal of Tobacco Program is to reduce tobacco use and influence social norms towards a tobacco-free Monterey County. We partner with local youth groups, individuals, voluntary health organizations, and non-profit agencies to meet the community's needs. Our current initiatives include: Smoke-Free Multi-Unit Housing,Tobacco Retail Licensing (TRL), Tobacco Cessation, and a Local Oral Health Program. Additionally, the Prevention Team also staffs the Monterey County Collaborates.
