Children's Medical Services Program
California Children Services (CSS)
California Children Services (CCS): 1615 Bunker Hill Way, Suite 190 CCS is a statewide program that arranges, directs, and pays for medical care, equipment, and rehabilitation, when these services are authorized by the program. Services can be authorized for children and young adults under 21 years of age who have eligible medical conditions and whose families are unable to pay for all or part of their care. CCS medical staff select the most qualified of our network of professionals to treat the child's CCS-eligible condition. It is important to note that CCS is not a health insurance program and will only meet the health needs related to the CCS-eligible condition. return to top
Child Health and Disability Program (CHDP): 1615 Bunker Hill Way, Suite 140 CHDP Gateway provides no-cost periodic health exams and care coordination for Medi-Cal children up to age 21 and for children under 200% of the federal poverty level up to age 19. Public Health Nurses provide training and technical assistance to CHDP enrolled providers and assure that follow-up occurs when the need for further screening or treatment is identified during the CHDP exam. CHDP nurses and ancillary staff work with parents to identify resources needed to connect with care. return to top
Child Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP): 1615 Bunker Hill Way, Suite 140 The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program provides community and provider education about the dangers of lead poisoning. The Public Health Nurse provides follow-up and case management to lead poisoned children per the State guidelines.
