The
Gold Seal is awarded to those restaurants and other retail food
preparation facilities that consistently demonstrate substantial
compliance with the California Retail Food Code (CalCode). Restaurants
and other retail food preparation facilities that have critical major
violations at the time of inspection that may contribute directly to
food-borne illness, or do not demonstrate satisfactory progress in
correcting those violations, are not eligible for the Gold Seal. The
program is voluntary for restaurants and other retail food preparation
facilities. |
