 The Monterey County Free Libraries help students after school through our Homework Centers (see directory below). We know that students need supplemental learning at home, during after-school hours. Yet, many children do not have the environment, or an adult who can help them accomplish this task. Our Homework Centers, sponsored by the Foundation for the Monterey County Free Libraries, provide a place for students of all ages to complete their schoolwork. Computer resources including Internet access, may also be available for student use.
Kids of all ages are able to receive help at the libraries' Homework Centers. It is also a great place to find assistance on book reports, math assignments and term papers. We can also help Independent Study students and Home Schoolers.
We have an open door policy. Anyone can drop in after signing up with the Homework Center Coordinator. The Homework Centers provide essential materials to make homework as painless as possible. For example, word processing, internet access and our reference collection can make homework a breeze!
