Our Homework Centers, sponsored by the Foundation
for the Monterey County Free Libraries, provide a FREE place for
students of all ages to complete their schoolwork. Print and
computer resources, including Internet access, Electronic Databases
and word processing, are available for use. We have an open door
policy, just drop-in and sign up with the Homework Center
Coordinator. You can also connect online for FREE with a live tutor every day (except major holidays) from1pm to Midnight. All you need is your Monterey County Free Libraries card and you can share computer files, write on an interactive white board and chat with a professional tutor using instant messaging.
Electronic Databases
Also, search Calisphere – A World of Primary Sources and More: a free website that offers educators, students, and the public access to more than 200,000 primary sources such as photographs, documents, newspapers, political cartoons, works of art, diaries, transcribed oral histories, and other cultural artifacts. These materials reveal the diverse history and culture of California and its role in national and world history.
