Obituary Search
Monterey County Free Libraries staff will conduct obituary searches for a charge of $5 per name effective January 1, 2010.
This charge goes toward the cost of processing this request. Payment is due upon receipt of the obituary. The obituary will be emailed, faxed, or mailed.
Checks or money orders must be payable to Monterey County Free Libraries. You may submit your request by phone or in person

numbers). Or, you may send your request by email.

Youth Programs and Services
The branches and bookmobiles of Monterey County Free Libraries offer an array of services and programs for children and teens. Contact your local branch (See
branch locations and phone numbers) to find out about weekly Story times, Class Visits, Children's and Summer Reading Programs and the Monterey County Free
Libraries Homework Centers. Visit our kids and teen web pages for recommended reading lists and websites. Learn more about our
Reading Safari outreach program to childcare homes and centers. The library is a fun place for the entire family. Come check us out!

Public Computers, WiFi and Other Equipment
Public computers, photocopiers and fax machines are available in every County Library branch.
Free WiFi (wireless access to the Internet) is available in the
Aromas, Carmel Valley,
Castroville, Gonzales, Greenfield, King City, Marina, Prunedale, and Seaside
branches. Microfilm Reader/Printers are available at the Seaside and Soledad
branches.
Some branches also have typewriters and audio equipment. Call for
availability.

Bookmobiles
The Monterey County Free Libraries operates two bookmobiles: one based in King City which serves South Monterey County, and one based in Prunedale which serves North Monterey County and the Monterey Peninsula. The two bookmobiles visit over thirty communities on a regular schedule. See
