The Monterey County Emergency Operations Plan (“EOP”) is under a revision from the 2000 edition, and the current draft is here for review and comment. Click on the link below to access the Draft Emergency Operations Plan document.
The EOP Revision Project was grant funded with federal Emergency Management Performance grant funds. The scope of work provided to our consultant URS Corporation represented a complete revision for a simple, direct and clear format appropriate for all emergency management functions. Under the direction of an OES Planner, the consultant worked with local stakeholders within the Operational Area to obtain input and to develop and expand the knowledge base as a reference for all users of the Plan. The EOP revision includes all current SEMS and NIMS requirements, is consistent with all applicable State and Federal planning guides and document and reflects the Standard Operating Procedures of the Operational Area Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The revised EOP formal will allow for ease with making additions, modifications and revisions as we move forward.
The Operational Area Coordinating Council, which serves as the Disaster Council for the County of Monterey is scheduled to review the Draft EOP at their July 14, 2011 meeting and to forward a recommendation for adoption to the Monterey County Board of Supervisors during July 2011.
Thank you for taking time to review the Draft EOP in advance of the July 14, 2011 meeting and replying with comments prior to June 23, 2011 to:
