Monterey County Announces Lake San Antonio Limited Summer Opening.

Monterey County will be opening Lake San Antonio for limited use from August 5th through September 11th. The park will be open during weekends only. Here are the park’s hours of operations and access information:
Gate Hours of Operation (Except Labor Day Weekend)
o Fridays: 12:00pm to 8:00pm
o Saturdays: 8:00am to 8:00pm
o Sundays: 8:00am to 5:00pm
o Park fully closed Mondays through Thursdays

Gate Hours of Operation (Labor Day Weekend)
o Friday, September 2nd: 12:00pm to 8:00pm
o Saturday, September 3rd: 8:00am to 8:00pm
o Sunday, September 4th: 8:00am to 8:00pm
o Monday, September 5th: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Boat Inspections
o Quagga Mussel inspections will be done at the entry gate upon arrival
   o Must be done during gate hours of operation
   o All motorized and non-motorized water craft

Areas Open to the Public
o Harris Creek Day Use Area
   o Open during gate hours of operation only

o Harris Creek Recreational Area
   o Camping loops A, B, C and D ONLY
      o Approx. 26 sites with electrical and water (A Loop)
      o Approx. 111 primitive camp sites (B,C and D Loops)
      o No campsite sewer hookups – dump station on site
   o Showers and bathrooms available
   o $32 ‘Regular’ camping fee for all open sites
      o First-come, first served basis for all open sites (no reservations)

Lake Access
   o Launch from Harris Creek Boat Ramp only
   o Non-motorized boats allowed every weekend
   o Motorized boats allowed every weekend
      o 5 MPH max allowed speed limit for entire lake

Lake San Antonio is Monterey County’s premier freshwater recreation area. Located just 20 miles inland from California’s beautiful Central Coast, Lake San Antonio offers year-round activities including picnicking, camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, boating and water-skiing. Visitors can enjoy active water sports all year.
