How to File a Complaint

It is the goal of the Monterey County Planning and Building Inspection Department to provide excellent customer service. However, problems may occur from time to time. Our goal is to resolve your issue. To assist us in this goal, please complete the Customer Service Concern Form (for problems with the process and/or department staff), and return it to the Permit Center Receptionist. The form may also be mailed or faxed back. Click here for fax and mail information. Upon receipt, your complaint will be forwarded to the appropriate Assistant Director of the Planning and Building Inspection Department for review. A staff member will then be assigned to contact and assist you as soon as possible.
