When the Planning Commission (or other hearing body) makes a decision
regarding a discretionary permit, it issues a resolution. A
resolution consists of 2 primary sections:
- Findings and Evidence: This section provides the basis for
the decision by citing findings that identify the project's consistency
or inconsistency with County policies and ordinances.
- Conditions: If a project is approved, a set of conditions are
attached to the permit resolution. The conditions are designed
to ensure that any impacts from the project are minimized or
eliminated, and to ensure that development is carried out in
accordance with County policies and ordinances.
