2010 Draft Monterey County General Plan

NOTICE:

Although some text of the 2010 draft General Plan includes color highlighting, the County will not be distributing/selling color copies for the following reasons:

1) In order to copy the document in color, the format is changed into what equates to a photograph. Color is easy to read on the screen (e.g. CD), but the printer makes the blue much darker than what appears on the screen. Therefore, color copies of the document are very difficult to read the text with blue highlight, but the black and white copies are clear to see what has been changed from the 2007 draft General Plan.

2) The color highlight has no significant value and the intent was to quickly identify if the change was related to the EIR or not. However, text boxes following each change state where the change is coming from.

3) All color maps are printed in color and there is no change there. We are only referring to the body of text where color fonts and highlight are used.

The County will be distributing/selling black and white copies with a color CD included at no extra cost. The color highlight will be used as part of the hearing process to be displayed on the overhead screen as the matter is discussed.

Color copies of the General Plan and/or Final EIR can be purchased at the copy businesses identified on the previous web page.
