Mario Salazar
Facilities Manager


Mario Salazar graduated from St. Mary’s College, located in Moraga, California,  with a BA in Business Management.

Mr. Salazar has been with the County of Monterey since July, 2000, as Contracts/ Purchasing Manager, General Services Manager II, and was promoted in 2005 to General Services Manager III, in the capacity of Facilities Manager. Mr. Salazar's prior experience in the public sector includes working with the Monterey Salinas Transit in the Facilities Division as a Purchasing and Inventory Control Officer.  In the private sector, Mr. Salazar's experience includes approximately 12 years in the hotel and resort business as a purchasing and special projects manager.  Mr. Salazar's background also includes building experience as a state licensed contractor, (C-6) Cabinet & Millwork.
