Storm Drain Pollution and the Public

In Monterey County, storm drains typically flow directly into creeks, estuaries and the ocean, without ever entering into a water treatment facility.  Everyday activities of residents can greatly impact the health of our waterways and local wildlife.  Common sources of pollution include motor oil, antifreeze, paint, garden clippings, pesticides, trash and pet waste.
