Welcome!
This youth mural and arts project is funded by the
Workforce Investment Act and Sponsored by Monterey County Workforce
Investment Board, the Office for Employment Training, and the Monterey
County One-Stop Career Center System. Youth from throughout Monterey
County participate in these annual projects which not only beautify
our community for years to come but also provide the youth with team-building
skills, bonding, and a pride for their community which will translate
into productive members and good citizens of the community in which
they live.
Please visit our Murals
Project pages that our youth have created for your viewing
within this site, as they are a beautiful example of what our youth
are capable of creating within a work experience training program
in the arts. We are also currently in the process of creating a new
One Voice Arts & Leadership Web site, which will be showing
a representation of all the current and past years' mural and art
projects, including sculpture, theater, Web design, and the Leadership
Project. There are many more projects that are envisioned for the
future of the One Voice Arts & Leadership Project.
The murals from this past year of summer 2001 can
be found in our Summer 2001 One Voice Murals
Project pages. The youth of this past year's murals in the participating
cities throughout Monterey County have created their own Web pages
to show the seven weeks of progression of their painting, from start
to finish.
The youth of Fall
2001 and Winter 2001 / 2002 have recently begun production of
their Web pages, and are now available!
You can also find our Community
Paint Day coverage here. Thank you for joining us for this
memorable day to paint with our youth! We enjoyed telling you
about our murals and helping you to contribute to our wall!
Thank you for visiting.
