Monterey County Free Libraries Closing Branches; Online Resources and Assistance Remain Accessible
As of March 16, all Monterey County Free Library locations will be closed.
These precautionary measures against the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) are in line with the latest recommendations from the Monterey County Health Department. Please see their website at: www.mtyhd.org/2019nCoV for more information on how to keep yourself and your loved ones safe at this time.
No overdue fines will be charged, and material bookdrops may be closed at any or all locations. We are not accepting any donations of used items, and encourage you to keep your library materials at home through the end of March.
You can continue to access our vast collection of digital resources, which give our cardholders 24/7 access to our eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, homework help, and more. We continue to answer questions online and by phone – please check our website at eMCFL.org or contact our Administrative Offices at 831-883-7573 for details as we bring up new resources to serve your needs.
The safety of our staff and customers is our biggest priority. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your continued understanding and support. For the latest information on library resources and services, please find us online at www.eMCFL.org
Thank you. Hillary Theyer, Library Director
