The Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs (IGLA) Office is a division of the County Administrative Office.

IGLA is responsible for State and Federal legislative coordination and advocacy and coordinates and negotiates with other governmental and regulatory agencies on matters of mutual concern.

Other services and projects within the Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs division include:

  • County-wide Strategic Planning
  • Cannabis Program
  • Economic Development and Housing
  • Media Relations
  • Office of Emergency Services (OES)
  • Strategic Grant Services 
  • Special Projects assigned by the County Administrative Office and Board of Supervisors
  • Workforce Development

IGLA also staffs the activities of a number of standing and ad hoc committees of the Board of Supervisors, including the Legislative Committee and the Alternative Energy and Environment Committee.
