Adult Primary Care
Primary Care is about your overall health. Your Primary Care Provider (PCP) is the first person to see for healthcare. The PCP will help you stay healthy. When you have questions about personal health, you should start with your PCP. If a specialist doctor or service is needed, the PCP will make a referral for you. The Primary Care Provider arranges other tests when needed, such as blood tests and x-rays. Remember, unless it is a medical emergency, the PCP is your first place to go for all healthcare needs.
The Laurel Pediatric Clinic is located in the Natividad Medical Center campus. With 27 exam rooms, Laurel Pediatrics is dedicated to providing quality medical care to children 0-18 years of age. Our services include Newborn Exams, Well Child Care, Sick Child Care, Immunizations, Health Education, Hearing and Vision Screenings, Specialty Pediatric Care in conjunction with UC San Francisco and Stanford Hospitals, and Behavioral Health.
Clinic Services provides a variety of women health services. Services include prenatal and postnatal care, sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment, family planning, screening for cervical cancer, breast exam and mammogram follow-up, immunizations, and colposcopies. We have certified providers who specialize in vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) and high risk obstetrics. Our Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) staff provide services in the areas of nutrition, psychosocial, breastfeeding, post-partum and health education services.
For most medical conditions, your Primary Care Physician (PCP) is the person to see. However, there are times when you need to see a specialist who has had additional training and been certified for that area of medicine. Your PCP may refer you to a specialist if needed.
