The Robert A. Hoffman Award

Purpose of the Robert A. Hoffman Award

The Robert Hoffman Award recognizes individuals who have met the following measures: consistent, genuine consideration and willingness to serve the public, their co-workers and interdepartmental agencies, often during high-stress situations, outside the ‘norm’ of day to day operations and going above and beyond to ensure satisfaction.

Honoring his legacy

Rob Hoffman was an Environmental Health Specialist II with the bureau from 2008 to 2011. During this time, Rob exemplified the definition of excellent customer service. Through his courteous interactions with the public, local agencies, other county departments and other bureaus within the health department, Rob excelled at customer service and developing working relationships with everyone he interacted with. These relationships started with the foundation of exceeding the standards of excellent customer service. Rob was with the bureau for a short three years. He left us with a lasting impression, his legacy of customer service, which carries forward today.

To honor this legacy, the Robert A. Hoffman Award was created to recognize one individual employee that has excelled, much as Rob did, to provide courteous, professional, excellent customer service and create working relationships with the public and within the County.
