Natividad Medical Center is working closely with the Monterey County Health Department, the California Department of Public Health, along with our other three local hospitals to reduce the potential spread of coronavirus in Monterey County. The public is urged to use the emergency room only for serious illness and medical emergencies like injuries, difficulty breathing, chest pain and altered levels of consciousness. If you have only mild symptoms — and aren’t in a high-risk group — it’s best to contact your physician from home and not come to the hospital.

NMC Covid-19 Hotline:

NMC has developed a bilingual hotline to answer questions from the community about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The number for the Natividad Coronavirus Hotline is 1 (831) 772-7365. Natividad nurses are available to speak with you in English or Spanish from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, seven days a week.

The hotline is a community resource for timely, accurate information about COVID-19 and virtual screening for people who are experiencing symptoms. Nurses will answer questions and direct patients to the appropriate level of care.

Patients who have COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, cough and shortness of breath, are encouraged to call the hotline before coming to the hospital. If you are experiencing a serious illness or medical emergency such as an injury, chest pain, difficulty breathing or altered levels of consciousness, please seek urgent or emergency care or call 911 and inform the operator of your symptoms.

Due to the evolving situation with novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), it is necessary to restrict visitors until further notice. Effective at 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2020 no visitors will be allowed into the hospital or clinics except under the following special circumstances:
