OPEN ENROLLMENT

Open Enrollment is the time of year in which County employees have an opportunity to review their benefits and make any changes for the upcoming year. The Open Enrollment period is generally in the fall and changes made will take effect on January 1st of the following year.

MAKING OPEN ENROLLMENT CHANGES

  1. Review your medical, dental, and vision plans and the Employee Health Contributions rate sheet to ensure you are in the best plan for you and your family. More information is available at www.calpers.ca.gov.

     

  2. Once you have completed your research, access ESS to launch the Open Enrollment Wizard to make changes to your coverage or re-enroll into the FSA and/or DCAP Plans.

     

  3. Use the Open Enrollment Wizard Guide to help you navigate through the enrollment process.

     

  4. When you submit your Open Enrollment transaction, you will need to attach supporting documentation for all eligible dependents. If you do not attach the required documentation, your Benefit Coordinator will contact you to request it. Your transaction will not be approved if this is not provided by the deadline.
