Q:  How do I get a library card?

A:  You can get a library card online or at your in person at your nearest MCFL Branch

Q:  How do I add or change my email address?
A:  You can add or change your email address when you login to your account or at you nearest MCFL Branch.

Q:  How do I update my address?
A:  You can add or change your email address when you login to your account or at you nearest MCFL Branch.

Q:  How do I access my online library account?
A:  You can access your online library account in Check My Account.

Q:  How do I get an Aquarium pass?
A:  Aquarium passes are distributed September - May yearly for residents in Monterey County who otherwise cannot afford to visit it.  For more information please see Get A Monterey Bay Aquarium Pass or check with your MCFL Branch for more information.

Q:  How do I recheck my items out?
A:  Items are automatically renewed  1 time if there is not a hold on an item.  If you wish to check the item out for a second time, please Check My Account or call or visit your nearest MCFL Branch.

Q:  How do I connect to the library WIFI?
A:  WiFi iconTo find the Library's hot spots, click on your wireless icon in the taskbar. If no icon is present:

  1. Click Start, Settings, then Network Connections
  2. Right click Wireless Network Connection and then click View Available Wireless Networks (a list of wireless access points appears in the Available Networks box)
  3. Click the County Library WIFI network
  4. Click Connect

Q:  How do I print at the library and how much does it cost?
A:  You can print at the library by Accessing Wireless Printing or by using one of our computers, you can print your documents to one of our printers.  You will need to preload money onto your library card to be able to complete this process.  Please see your library staff for more details.
