PLN150653 – Carmel Valley Pump Station

Current Status: Scheduled for Planning Commission Hearing on April 24, 2019
Project Description: Use Permit and Design Approval for the construction of a 1,200 square foot pump station.  The property is located at 26530 Rancho San Carlos Road, Carmel (Assessor's Parcel Number 015-251-030-000), Carmel Valley Master Plan.
Environmental Status:

  • Final Environmental Impact Report Certified by the California Public Utilities Commission on September 13, 2018.
  • Draft Environmental Impact Report (DIER) circulated January 13, 2017 to March 29, 2017.

 

PLN150889 – Desalination Plant

Location: Charles Benson Road just northwest of the Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA)

Planning Area: Greater Monterey Peninsula Area Plan
Current Status: Scheduled for Planning Commission Hearing on April 24, 2019
Project Description: Combined Development Permit for the Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project (MPWSP) including a 9.6 MGD desalination plant, terminal reservoir and conveyance system.  The application includes: 1) Use Permit for the desalinization plant, 2) coverage variance.  The plant is proposed in the PG/40-D-S District.  Portions of the conveyance system will be in the Coastal Zone (North County Land Use Plan) and the plant is located in the Greater Monterey Peninsula Area Plan (Assessor's Parcel Number 229-011-021-000).
