Project Description:

Update the ALUCPs for Monterey Regional Airport and Marina Municipal Airport.

Key Dates:

 

  • May 30, 2019 - Tentative date for public hearing to consider adoption of the Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan (ALUCP) for the Marina Municipal Airport, and to consider adoption of a Negative Declaration for the ALUCP prepared pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
  • February 25, 2019 - The ALUC adopted the ALUCP for the Monterey Regional Airport.
  • February 25, 2019 - Public hearing to consider adoption of the Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan (ALUCP) for the Monterey Regional Airport, and to consider adoption of a Negative Declaration for the ALUCP prepared pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).  The public hearing notice, Draft Final ALUCP for Monterey Regional Airport, and the Draft Initial Study for the Monterey Regional Airport ALUCP are linked below in Reports/Documents.

  • June 25, 2018 - Public Hearing to Consult with Affected Jurisdictions pursuant to California Public Utilities Code Section 21675(c)
  • Environmental Review Documents Circulated for Public Comment from May 3 – June 4, 2018
  • February 2017 - Public Workshops (held separately at Monterey Regional and Marina Municipal Airport
     
  • July 2016 - Caltrans forwarded the fully executed grant agreement to the RMA.                   
  • June 2016 - Board of Supervisors acknowledged receipt of the grant allocation and approved the required local matching funds in the amount of $18,000.

  • December 2015 – Monterey County ALUC authorized the RMA Director to act as the agent for the ALUC in processing all documentation, including execution of the grant agreement, to secure the approved A&D grant funds.

  • August 2015 – California Transportation Commission (CTC) approved an A&D grant to provide $162,000 of state funding for completion of the ALUCPs for the Monterey Regional and Marina Municipal Airports.

  • February 2015 - Board of Supervisors approved a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with Coffman Associates to provide airport land use planning consulting services to update the Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan (ALUCP) documents.

  • March 2014 - RMA submitted an Acquisition and Development (A&D) grant application to the California Department of Transportation Division of Aeronautics (Caltrans) for preparation of ALUCP documents for Monterey Regional and Marina Municipal Airports.
