Robinson Canyon Road Emergency Repairs - Complete

Monterey County Resource Management Agency has been performing emergency roadway repairs on Robinson Canyon Road (Milepost 5.0) to address damage resulting from the 2019 winter storms.   Road repairs has resulted in a hard closure of Robinson Canyon Road between milepost 4.5 to 7.0.  Construction activities were anticipated to commence on September 25, 2019, and are now completed at the end of October 2019.  Detailed construction milestones and anticipated dates has been provided below.

Message Boards to be placed at several key points on Carmel Valley Rd. & Robinson Canyon Rd.

 

Wednesday, September 18th

Road Closure:

Beginning of hard road closure. Crews to place k-rail at designated project points.

 

Robinson Canyon Rd will be closed at milepost 4.5 to 7.0 to all vehicular traffic for the duration of the project.

 

September 25, 2019

Construction:

Repairs activities to include:

  • Excavation, backfill and paving of roadway.

     

  • Installation of soil nail wall.

 

September 25th thru early November 2019

Reopening of Road:

Robinson Canyon Road to be reopened at milepost 4.5 to 7.0 to all vehicular traffic.

 

October 30th , 2019
